The Dutch Language Program for Childcare Professionals by Equals is an intensive, full-time initiative designed for women who are ready to overcome the Dutch language barrier and start working in the childcare sector in the Netherlands.
Who Can Join?
To be eligible for the program, you must meet all of the following criteria:
Location
You must commit to attend and participate in the classes taking place in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, or The Hague.
Childcare Qualification
You must hold a diploma or have relevant certifications/experience in childcare.
Diploma Recognition
Your childcare diploma must be recognized by DUO or IDW for working in the Dutch workforce. Check your diploma recognition here.
Employment Status
You are currently looking for a job in childcare. If you receive benefits through your municipality or the UWV, please inform us.
Availability
You must be able to commit full-time (40 hours/week) for 16-20 weeks (no breaks):
- 2 – 4 hours/day in-person Dutch classes and learning activities
- 4 hours/day structured self-study

Why Commitment Matters
- Spots in this program are extremely limited. Each participant represents a valuable seat funded by resources.
- If you’re selected, we expect your full commitment. Frequent absence or early withdrawal may result in reimbursement of program costs, as seats cannot be reassigned mid-program.
