About
Born in Montreal, raised in Europe, exposed to international environments. I never had a crystal clear idea of where I am from and where I belong, which I mostly took as a privilege. Learning about diverse cultures throughout my upbringing, fostered a high dose of curiosity in how the world works and how I can play some part in making the world a better place. Having worked across Sub-Saharan Africa for 9 years on various digital health projects, and constantly feeding my knowledge about systems and societies helped me understand that my capacity to truly understand will always be limited. It is an essential realisation that can propel you to always involve local stakeholders in co-creating and co-building solutions that truly solve a challenge and can make a real impact.
What qualities do you think are essential for success?
The definition of success is a work-in-progress for me, and perhaps ever-evolving. Success should feel like uplifting yourself to the highest of your abilities whilst lifting others with you. I believe that essential qualities to achieve this are self-awareness, integrity, humility and empathy. I have more than enough “fire in my belly”, burning passions, tenacity and curiosity. The question is whether you can take those headstrong qualities forth, whilst operating with empathy for yourself and others at the same time? I think when you find that sweet spot, the sky is the limit!
