About

My name is Ana Licia. I am a petroleum engineer, a mom, a daughter, a sister. I started my career in tech as a geologist 20 years ago. I joined the energy industry as a petroleum engineer and since then I have been learning and applying my knowledge in different areas of the world: South America, United States, United Kingdom and now The Netherlands. I love what I do. As a petroleum engineer I worked with exploration,  production and development of hydrocarbons. We have an important role in the energy industry, working to maximize the recovery of valuable resources from subsurface reservoirs. Today I am responsible for managing the well performance,  the integrity of wellbores, ensuring the safety of workers and the environment, complying with government rules.

Why is visibility of role models important?

Because every role model can provide us with guidance and support as we navigate through life. A good role model can offer advice and insight based on their own experiences. This can be particularly helpful when we are facing difficult decisions or going through challenging times. Having a role model helps us to engage in constructive actions and help us in our development, picking up positive habits and even perspectives that could last a lifetime.
